At DiFranco Periodontics we utilize a Fotona laser which offers two different laser wavelengths that have been proven to be the most effective in modern dentistry. Our goal is to use these technologically superior lasers to provide a more minimally invasive treatment option. This means less discomfort for our patients and quicker recovery.
Most dental offices that advertise laser dentistry are using diode lasers. While diode lasers have a place in dentistry, they should not be used around dental implants or for more complex cosmetic and periodontal cases. The Nd:YAG and Er:YAG laser wavelengths that we utilize offer the most comprehensive treatment of dental and periodontal conditions including implants.
